Are there permanent seats at the Amp?

The Amphitheater is a Standing Room Only venue. Etix displays seat numbers for inventory tracking and capacity management, not to assign specific seats.

What does my ticket include?

What is the venue capacity?

The amphitheater holds up to 5,000 individuals.

Where is the lost & found?

Lost and found items can be turned in at the Guest Services tent at the main entrance. All items not picked up will be held for a maximum of thirty (30) days by the venue.

What are the gate times?

Gates open 60-90 minutes before showtime. Gate times may vary.

Does the venue allow re-entry?

For the safety and security of all guests, re-entry is not permitted at this venue

Does the venue accept cash?

Lynchburg Amphitheater is a cashless venue. All purchases require a credit card, debit card, or contactless payment method.

Can I bring my child to the show? If so, can I bring in a stroller, toys, and a bottle?

Your children are more than welcome to come to shows at the Amp. Please note that they must have their own ticket. This includes babies and toddlers.

  • Strollers and car seat carriers are not permitted at the venue.
  • A diaper bag containing necessary items for childcare is permitted; however, it will be subject to search for other items on our prohibited items list.
  • All toys will be subject to inspection.
  • We recommend bringing only the necessary items.

FAQ & some tips if you're bringing children:

  • The playground located at Riverfront Park will be closed during show times.
  • There is no re-entry, so make sure you've got everything you need!
  • For their safety, kids must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • The location for reuniting lost children with their parents is the guest services tent at the main entrance to the venue.
What is the bag policy?
  • Bags must be clear or transparent, no larger than 12" x 12" x 6"
  • All items are subject to search and inspection by security upon entry
  • Allowed Bags:
    • Small clutch bags or wallets with or without a handle or strap, no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” are allowed.
    • One plastic freezer-style ziploc clear bag. Gallon size or smaller.
    • Diaper bags when accompanied by a child 
    • Medical Bags 
    • Diaper and Medical bags will be searched at entry.
What items are allowed?
  • Bags (Clear Bag Policy)
    Guests may bring one of the following:
    • Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags no larger than 12" x 12" x 6"
    • Clear backpacks that meet the same size requirement
    • Small clutch bags or wallets (with or without a strap) no larger than 4.5" x 6.5"
    • One clear, plastic freezer-style bag (gallon size or smaller)
    • All bags are subject to visual inspection by security.

    • Medical bags necessary for guest health needs
    • Diaper bags when accompanied by a child
  • Personal Items
  • One factory-sealed bottle of water per guest
  • Blankets (permitted in designated areas if they do not obstruct aisles, walkways, or views)
  • Mobile phones
  • Small personal cameras without detachable lenses
  • Prescribed and over-the-counter medication in original packaging (only what is needed for the event)
  • Accessibility & Assistance
    • ADA-compliant service animals

  • Bags & Containers
    • Non-clear bags of any kind, including:
    • Purses, handbags, backpacks
    • Fanny packs, sling bags, camera bags
    • Drawstring or mesh bags
    • Tinted or patterned plastic bags that obstruct visibility
    • Briefcases, luggage, large tote bags
    • Coolers, picnic baskets, insulated bags
    • Hard-sided containers
  • Weapons & Dangerous Items
    • Firearms, ammunition, or firearm accessories
    • Knives, pepper spray, mace, stun guns, or chemical irritants
    • Fireworks, explosives, flares, smoke devices, or incendiary items
    • Chains, clubs, or sharp objects
  • Alcohol, Food & Beverages
    • Outside alcohol
    • Outside food or beverages (unless medically necessary)
    • Glass bottles or containers
    • Cans or metal containers not purchased inside the venue
  • Chairs, Furniture & Large Items
    • Oversized camping chairs, loveseat-style chairs, or chairs with extended backs
    • Chairs with attached canopies, umbrellas or footrests
    • Tables, tents, or large umbrellas (over 18 inches when closed)
    • Furniture of any kind
    • Strollers, car seat carriers, etc.
    • Chairs are available for rent for $10 per chair
  • Professional Equipment & Recording Devices
    • Professional cameras with interchangeable or detachable lenses
    • Video cameras or continuous video recording equipment
    • Tripods, monopods, gimbals, stabilizers
    • External microphones or audio recording devices
    • GoPros, action cameras, or drones
    • Laser pointers
    • Flash photography during performances
  • Animals
    • Pets or animals of any kind, except ADA-compliant service animals
  • Prohibited Substances
    • Illegal drugs or controlled substances
    • Marijuana or cannabis products, including vape pens and edibles (regardless of state legality)
  • Miscellaneous Prohibited Items
    • Selfie sticks or extension poles
    • Balloons, frisbees, or inflatable objects
    • Noise-making devices (air horns, whistles)
    • Confetti
    • Unauthorized promotional materials or items intended for distribution
    • Signs attached to poles, sticks, or frames
